G'day my Tuono has cheap rusting washers with stainless allen screws used to hold the carbon fibre guards. I replaced them today, cost a massive $2.60. Is this the norm ?, or did the guys at the Aprilia shop keep them for their chook chasers. The only Problems I've had have been poor mechanics.:crazy 1st, the fuelpump was not reconnected properly.(Very embarrising after popping a mono passing a couple of hot cars, the bloody thing stopped ! :eek 2nd, a screw not tightened inside rear swingarm, resulting in the screw hitting the rear sprocket and being punched back into the captive nut and jamming sideways. Two young mechanics who ride trailbikes (chook chasers!).I can't wait until the warranty finishes then I can have may mates' shop do the work I cannot do .:thumbup

Hi Perry

Mine has no robs so far with any rust - and the wet season has been a right ******* up here this year (an all-time record as a matter of fact). How's Tassie ATM mate?

I must say I've had no probs with the standard of service from my local dealer. Although this is not necessarily the norm elsewhere: it's more like the exception.:rolleyes

Dealer service: the Achilles Heel of all Apes, I'm afraid.:banghead

G'day Dave
We have not had a very good summer (again).Low to mid 20c mostly, with the odd 35c day. Lots of rain in last 2 weeks, (not a wet season rainfall).I've only managaed 5500km on my Tuono since I've had it. Too much work at home getting our saffron crop planted(fencing, irrigation etc.), not including the wifes little jobs. Hoping now to have a few weekends fanging around the sthn. roads here.

Mate, to say that I am envious of you and your Tassie roads is an understatement.:drool

It's very bloody boring up here unless you're prepared to travel. I used to live in Adelaide where it was only minutes away from some of the most awesome roads, so living here is :thumbdown for motorcycling

I'd really love to see what a saffron crop actually looks like. Some pics would be appreciated. I know what you mean about those "little jobs" for the missus mate: they end up to be major projects in my experience.

Small price to pay for the privilege of fanging around Godzone country on the best naked bike on the planet though eh?:cheers
