cheap and cheerful stainless steel bolt set, just wondering if anyone had tried a set, or had tried something similar.
I have a few rusting bolts coming through and am looking to replace them over time, this seemed like an economical answer.

smiffy 316 would be better, remember that when fitted against steel they make the steel rust quicker.

Also don't use them to replace the bolts on the rear brake disc, yer speedo won't work if yer do.

I bought a packet of ss bolts (set pins for accuracy) washers, nuts and nylocs off e-bay and it cost way more than this bundle so please let me know

at the moment it's just for the odd rusty bolt that's starting to show. Exhaust hanger bolts, fairing bolts. I'll go for it and let you know.
The A2-340 gets pretty good rating for automotive use from what i have read too but i'm more than prepared to be corrected on that one.

The ones on the site are 304's mucker.

I get mine from Stig's Stainless Fasteners I think they are all A2 grade and I haven't had any problems on any of the bikes.

They do grub screws (think clutch lever) and they also do the fairing bolts - or a very similar bolt.

I did replace the rear disc bolts on the Tuoldo when I fitted Galfer disks, speedo worked fine - not all Stainless is non-magnetic.

Nerdy fact about your bike's disk bolts. The bolts in the disks should have shoulders - bolts rather than set crews (which are fully threaded). Aprilia use the same M8 bolt for the disks that they use elsewhere on the bike, and it is a set screw. If you want to replace them with pukka bolts stiggy does them - listed under Ducati, but same brakes on both machines.

Or you could get a dremmel on the rusty bolds and clean and lube em up ;)

if i could buy a Dremel for £20 i would.

Ordered the bolts yesterday so i'll let you know what turns up and if it's worth it.

Look forward to seeing what you reckon smiffy - I'm tempted at that price, just to have a shitload of spares in my toolbox.
