How easy is it to replace the rear cylinder rocker cover gasket?.

I think mine has sprung a small leak.....................at least I hope its not anything more serious :dunno

I reckon its a tank off job thats it.

But knowing Frankie perhaps he has 3 cylinders and 2 gearboxes.

Yeah, tank off Scott and a new gasket.

Takes around 30 minutes for a competent mechanic so you should have it done in a few hours. :nana

Nah I'll just come and park it on your drive, it only leaks when hot

Camshaft cover casket rear cylinder - easy and straight forward.
Tank off, sparks off, cover off - i do not remember is it necessary to loosen the throttle bodies or remove the air filter. I did, but I was checking the valves on both cylinders.

new casket and you are done.

cheers dude,

once gasket arrives I shall have a fiddle :devious

When removing the tank watch out the return fuel hose quick connector - managed to broke mine. Plastic ages on challenging conditions.

Aprilia part costs around 40€, but it is a standard CPC quick lock and cost me 20€ in industrial dealer (both links).

Nice and cheap parts when they have the plastic bag around them with red paint saying Aprilia ;)

Cheers , it took me about an hour to get it apart last time , it was all gunked up with 9 years of crap !!
