springs for the larger rider

hi all,
just woundering on my 2001 rsv should i install different spings to the front and rear shocks to handle better

I am 6"2 and 19.5 stone fully leathered up

hi bud, if its for road use most of the time i wouldn't worry about the springs unless your bottoming your suspension out, i am 17st

YES. If you dont fit a heavier spring you will find that ypou need to use more damping to control the spring. Ive fitted a heavier one to my 00 and it made all the difference. I too am a svelt 17 st.Front fork springs should be ok. setting your rider sag will tell you if you need to beef up the springs. If your sag aint right then no amount of tweaking will get the bike to handle right.
