hi every 1 im in middle of renewin sprag clutch got parts finally this mornin + wen i came round t start puttin it together i noticed the new sprag gear is slightly bigga than the 1 i took off + only has 61 teeth wer old 1 has 64 the new 1 wont fit in between the otha gears can any 1 advise me on this ??????

Mate, cant be of any help to you, although other will for sure.

However I noticed we dont have a DIY for the sprag replacement. Any chance you can take pics along the way for others to follow in the future??

If the part numbers are correct then it could simply be a case of it being bagged up wrong at the factory, it does happen.

Check out the part numbers first, sounds like a simple case of being supplied the wrong part.

All of the Rotax based engined Aprilia's use a 64 tooth sprag gear.
Your 61 has to be a mistake and from a non rotax based model like a Shiver or something.

Now you mention it Spoonz I'm sure I read that the Pegaso has a slightly different set up, could be that you it's one for them!

Pegaso is 60 tooth but he could have mis counted i guess and it looks somewhat different as it's solid and not machined out.

Shiver looks very similar to Rsv but not sure what the tooth count is on those.
