cos iv had lots of starting problems over the last 2-3 months due too black magic... & general jump starting from cars just to get me going... my bike has only just started in last 4 days too making a knocking noise on the left hand side !! 
now... im assuming the Sprag... hence my previous post about what it does !! :confused
my bike will start... no noises... but as it warms up on idle... it'll make a hard knocking noise... about 3-4 times spaced within say 3mins... then once warm when i ride it it'll also knock 2-3 times within the 1st 3mins... then nothing... peace & quiet !! :inlove
& then i can stop it... then start it whilst its warm & nothing... no noises !? :thumbup
another thing that happened yesterday is that after riding for 10mins... i pulled into the petrol station & it just stalled... but a stall like if you were in neutral with the engine working then you tap it into 1st without the clutch pulled in... a lurching stall... but i was actually in 1st with the clutch pulled in when it happened !? :dunno
my 1st instinct was the clutch seal had let go & was expecting all the fluid dumped on the floor... but nothing... i snicked it into neutral & started the bike... all fine... no noises... & it has worked as it should since... no more hassles... just the knocking noise still !? :inlove
so i was thinking maybe the clutch plates or similar might be sticking but not sure what side of the engine that would make noise on... as i didnt use it for 4 days whilst it was snowing... & with it being left outside not under cover... maybe thats why the knocking because the clutch plates are sticking together !? :dunno
