Speeeedo Problems!!!

Afternoon All!!! I have a question hopefully someone out there will be able to help. I am in the forces and just home on RnR at the moment. My Dad a 60 year old Fireblade rider!!! is looking after my RSV Factory. He has just called to say that the speedo is not working correctly. The Rev Counter is but the speedo is just reading "0" ??? Does anyone know what the problem may be and more important than that the solution.

probablt the speedo pickup chap and that generally means a new one (pricey little *******s too). However if by any chance you've changed the disc bolts to aftermarket then that could be the prob as the pickup uses a field from the bolts to give a reading.

If the sensor has failed then drop a message to Skullface, he's been working on an alternative to the pricey OEM part.

It was using that information but evolving it.. all credit to the original design, its ugly.

I've taken the idea a step forward and mine is working perfectly but looks 75% oem.. not perfect, but for a fiver, and a few careful skills its really worthwhile.

I will post some photos onto the sticky, not gonna hide how its done, but I will offer to sort it for anyone in need, for a couple beer tokens and deliver them an easy fit 100% plug and play solution.

Off checking the tent now, 52hr long paintball game to get to friday morning!!
