hi guys just want to ask a question about a speeding ticket,

i'm due in court on the 13th may, i have recived 3 photos showing the reg, in 1 pic then the next 2 pics just show the bike over the white lines....

there are no timings shown on the pics, time between photos, so i cant work out the speed..
ie, speed = distance / time

could i get the eveidence thrown out of court ??

thanks john

Couldn't you request the timings? Do you know how fast you were going at the time John?

Hi Bay
goimg through all the stuff they have sent it gives the time of the offence 0.50 date 11.11.10 and thats it, by law arn't they meant to send all the eveidece??

I don't think they are required to send all the evidence but you can request it. They sent me a ticket for doing 34 in a 30 which is a bit harsh. I asked for evidence of when the camera was callibrated and photographic evidence. They sent it to me and i just accepted it in the end as they had me. Thing is though the camera van was out to get people coming out of a bit of dual carriageway which was 50 into a 30. I was slowing down from 50 and had just taken my foot off the accelerator and was decelerating down without braking. That was 4 years ago so the point are off my licence but I still get hammered on the insurance for 5 years. Whats that all about?

i had that a few years ago myself 70 into a 40 did the same as you just let the car slow down but had the aweaness course to go on as doing 44 in a 40...... *******s....... sorry it just gets me i know i was in the wrong but 12.50 am no one on the road apart from me just making progress as it was fooking freezing lol

I think you will find that "they" (Police,Council, camera partnership,w.h.y) will have all the evidence they need.I tried to get away with a technicality, but a solicitor
that specialises in motoring offences advised me to pay up and take the points.
Here's a site with loads of advise and tips.

My 58 in a 30 was the same. Came into a 30 from a NSL, had throttled off and was slowing down, but the bugger with the camera was hiding in a driveway just past the 30 sign. Pretty underhand but nonetheless I was exceeding the limit so they had me bang to rights.

I can live with the fines, it's the points that piss me off.

I'd rather get caught bang to rights by a police officer than slapped with a £35 fine for parking a motorcycle in a shopping centre "out side a designated M/C bay" or £75 by thieving ***** called G24 for parking a car in Wickes for 2 hour
