speed sensor

Hi newbie again.
My speed sensor doesn't work? does anyone know if any other one fits? looks the same on my Ducati? just thought Â£90 was a little steep or am I missing something? Was going to swap the one from the duke to try it but thought I would ask the question 1st? it would appear its quite a common failure on the tuono?

Don't think its a common failure.
Try swapping it over, nothing to lose

Mrben,
Did this just suddenly happen ?? Or have you changed anything since you last knew that it was working ok ?
For example, have you changed the disc mouting bolts? the sensor will only work with steel bolts, flashy titanium bolts will not be detected by the sensor.
Have you had a tyre fitted? sometimes the new tyre can rub on the sensor cable and can eventually cut the supply/signal for/from the sensor.
You should also check for crud on the end of the sensor, as this can also stop it from working.
