Speed sensor piccy's

Well curiosity got the better of me so I decided to carve up my speed sensor and this is what I found. (And yes the blood on my finger is real after nearly cutting it off)

There was definately corrosion under the PCB.
 
Mine blew last year with the wet weather..The wires aren't sealed where they go in, so popped a blob of silicone around the replacement..Been fine since despite being in a flood..

yeah, mine looked like that, but without the blood, is your little 8 legged chiplike thing still attached to the pcb board?

Nope it was half off.

New sensory arrived today from Time Machine and it works a treat again!!!
 
Fook Dan, what did you use to open the sensor a pair of scissors :)
 
How much did you pay for the one from time machine?

just seen this thread after replying to your other one hehe, congrats on getting it fixed... and getting into the little bugger, i gave up after almost losing my finger lol the chainsaw on the bench was tempting but sense got the better of me
