seems like electrical gremlins are popping up all over the place :bawlingthe speed sensor is a hall effect reader sensing electromagnetic pulses from your rear disc bolts . if you un bolt the sensor and cover the face with pvc tape and anchor it somewhere safe .it will not be able to read anything . if you discon the sensor , the clock display will tell you there is an error.go out and ride and see what the speedo reading says if its still registering speed i think it is more likley to be an ecu fault or a duff connection somewhere in the loom i have electrical probs at the mo same bike same year :banghead
