Hi guys,
I am looking to put together a 6 man team for the second running of the RedStar Raceway 24hr event in South-Africa. The bike WILL be an Aprilia RSV still to be purchased.
I can think of no better place than RSV Zone to find 2 or 3 more guys that would want to join the team in sunny South-Africa. At the moment we are 2 and possibly 3 already.
Onboard camera of the track > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-Vx-xge4pI . ( search Redstar Raceway on Youtube to find more videos )
Onboard camera of me on a RSV Factory 2004, fast road > http://youtu.be/dtU4xNUPY_4 ( RSV and Gasoline )
The general idea is to buy a RSV to prepare for the race and sell it afterwards. ( search RSV gumtree south-africa and you will find several possible bikes at good prices ). I have done 30 000 km on a 2000 model RSV-R ( my 1st love ) as well as a couple of stints on a 2004 RSV Factory.
The aim is to be in the top 5 and looking at last years results it is very possible. We will have a thread here on the Zone to follow everything from preparation to finish.
We will have on-board camera during race of which every rider will get an edited copy.
It stands to reason that if you want to be eligible to join the team you should have 2 or 3 track days under the belt at least. You don't have to be super fast, but we expect you to be fast, be able to manage tire wear, fuel consumption and keep the bike on the black stuff.
Any takers ?
