I have a Ducati 748 right now, and thinking of getting an Aprilia. I found one at my local dealer. Its an 07 RSV factory r thats left over. After trade in and paperwork, I would be able to get it for around 10k. Is this a good price for an 07 left over?

nah keep screwing em down, its better of sold at a bit off a loss than sitting in their showroom, dealers can sell below cost for the volume sales, or screw them down for new kit

they reduced it down to 13k, and will give me 4k for my Duc. What new kit are you talking about. Im new to Aprilia

Hi there and welcome on board :thumbup

Price seems a little high when Taz Motorcycles are advertising brand new factorys at £8695, and considering that they are now end of line bikes. Not to mention the fact that they are 08 bikes and you are looking at an 07.

Good luck in your search for a good deal sir. Part ex that Duke and come over to the dark side :D

Ahhh, now I see you are in the USA. Forget the Taz Motorcycles idea, bit far for you to travel for a deal that is worse than the one they have offered you when you take the exchange rate into consideration :laugh

13K is around 7K here at the moment, so i'd guess that isn't a bad deal all in all. Best of luck :thumbup

Also, I think there may be some confusion. Im talking about US dollars. I think 10k US dollars is equal to 5432UK pounds.

As your talking dollars ,sounds like a very good deal have fun on the new bike.If you buy post some pictures.

not that i am switching over to the "Duc" side, but why are you getting rid of the 748? plus if its a good bike then dealers will bargain more with you, such as warranty items and extras for the new bike. look forward to seeing some pics

Don't get me wrong, I love my Duc. I like the style of the Aprilia and plus its newer. If i could keep my Duc and also get the Aprilia I would. The Aprilia will come with a 2yr warranty, which I think is standard. I really didnt haggle them much for accessories because they are knocking off shipping/freight charges.

Grab that sucker and enjoy matey..will ride different than the Duke, but i rekon you are gonna fall in love real fast. Get onboard an Ape! :thumbup
