HELP,

Just stripped my first fork, changed the oil put it back together. Went to put the preload back to its original settings and it screws in way too far (past flush). Also fork doesnt seem to have and compression on the rebound.
Any ideas before I strip it again?
I know it sounds a bit sad but please help.

Cheers

Panic over, ended up stripping the fork again.

Found out that the lock nut on the piston assembly was set too high, this meant that the upper plug (red anodised thing) sat too high and allowed too much travell to the preload adjuster.

I have now set the locknut so that the preload screw has 3 turns to fully in anyone know if this is correct? Its the same as the other fork anyway.

On the plus point it only took me 10mins to strip the fork and put it back together again.
So if anyone has any problems stripping their forks would be happy to help.
