I've done it. As long as you take your time it's not too tricky

I think I posted up a how-to but it probably got lost in the crash. I'll see if i've still got owt on the pooter

maldroid, thank you...will give it a go next weekend:thumbup just bet i break them tabs lol
rusty, ok the more i can read the better:cheers

Its a buga them steaming up, mine does it when its cold in the garage, then go out in the sun. Being a bit ham fisted a won't try the repair job

ah jist live wi it..mair likely tae cause mair damage if yer kak handed an mess wi them.

Ah did wonder if drilling a couple tiny wee holes somewhere discrete and protected might help air circulate and vent oot the moisture. What dae ye all think?

ahv done it on gauges on winches and hoists for offshore work in the past and seemed to do the bizz then...sometimes if ye cannae get something perfectly sealed the other best option is tae allow it tae breath.

Ahm just awfy wary o messin wi me T clocks tho..

evlin, a done the quickfire method,,,,heat a pin wi a lighter, and poke it through the plastic on the front o the clock, somewhaur discreet, it takes aboot 80% o the steam away,,,,:thumbup

The trick is to use a hammer drill and whap a 20mm masonry bit though the front side of the clock assembly to a depth of not less than 80mm

Pikey ... if you are reading this ... I'm kidding ... ok?

BINGO!...see my post above.

On some, if not sorted, the moisture build up can short the pcb within the clocks out....you then get reverse flashing of the tacho/clock/alarm triangle...or if you're really unlucky, the bikes indicators either work intermittently, or won't shut off at all...in my case it was the latter....

A further issue with the clocks is that the plexiglass is far too thin...if it were thicker, it would insulate better and the fogging would be much less problematical.

TBH...they're a POS

I couldn't find anything on my hard-drive but I can see that I added my experience and photos to this thread: ://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/s...fogging+clocks

It is pretty easy but you need to be patient. I reckon I found about 5ml of water in mine so it definately is worth it if you've got a serious fogging problem. Give me a shout if I can be of any help but TBH Tifa's the real expert on this

PS forget trying to entirely seal them, it dosnt work, they always need some form of venting

Never had any experience of this until I went out for a ride week before last and they misted up ever so slightly. Went out yesterday though for half hour and never had any problems at all. Weird

rusty thank you...im gunna give it a go, im no mechanic but do small bits to my bikes, reckon i can do this...just them tabs lol

Griff ... this is a problem we dont need

You have sorted wanky back brakes and dodgy sussies ... yet still we have foggy clocks

Make it so, No1 and tell us what you will do to rid the T of unwanted foggery.

Sssssshhhoop-P!

(sound of a space ship door shutting!)

Never been an issue fer my girl. And I've toured through some pretty fierce deluges in my time. Hopefully it won't ever be an issue.

Now to see if I can fix that eternally ***** rear brake.
