Hi all, I am picking up a new Factory on march 1st and swopping in my 09 Fazer 1000. I am excited and apprehensive in equal measure! Ive ridden a Tuono once, thought it was a bit "excitable" and bought the Fazer instead. I now want some character and soul. The Fazer is a fabulous bike and really does nothing wrong, but lacks any identity. I think the Tuono test ride lodged in my brain, and its took me a while to wake up!
This forum is very interesting and entertaining! I look forward to applying your various tips and tricks to make the most of my T.
And please don't hate me, but i really like the gold frame!!!

You are real aren't you?

Just we've got this fictional member on here who keeps popping up asking question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question after question.................

If you know what I mean.

Assuming that you are for real, welcome aboard, do us all a favour and add your location - it helps to know what part of the world you are in.

"You are real aren't you?"

I assure you dear chap, i am real!!! I have never contacted this forum before and only joined last night!
I will update my location etc, but i'm in the same part of the world as you.

Cheers.

No worries, just checking you weren't Pikeman sneaking back in to wind everyone up again.

Get yourelf on the Cadders trip for the 18th, get the bitch really run in :)

You'll love it after a Fazer, the one common thing amongst all Tuono owners is the stupid **** eating grin they have when they climb off their bikes.

Where are you getting it from - if it's in Grimsby you might want to get it serviced elsewhere, they ****** up everytime I let them touch either of ours.

Welcome aboard, exfazer.

Matey of mine has a Fazer 1000. Last summer out on a jolly we swapped over. I couldn't believe the difference - the Tuono easily outshone it in every department. It's a class act and if you want 'character' and 'soul' then it's no contest. After a single ride on the Factory you'll be hooked.

Dream Black Factory, I assume?

We like piccies here, post some when you have her. Just make sure that if you have any garden / hedge / patio / garage in the background it's neat and tidy. I'll say no more on that....!

Gold is good, we like gold. A lot. :yes

:cheers

Ey up Fayyzzrrrrrrr. The T is a great bike you'll love it. Might take a little while to get used to the V2 though. But once you do,,,, oh boy. We like gold on here too. Anyone who says they don't has a small widgey.

Hey xf,welcome to the zone. You made a good choice going for a T,.....not sure about the gold tho!:no

Greetings Exf and welcome to the house of fun.
I had a Fazer1000 a few yrs ago, cracking bike. Got a blade after it, then a 636, but nowt can match the T.
Enjoy it when you get it

Greetings frae someone with a small widgey, apparently. My R does just fine thanks. And yeah, don't start nob on the gold thing. Trust me, it ain't purty. By the by, the bike is like crack... You just keep wanting more and faster... Hang on tae yer license!!

:)

Thanks gents.

I am buying the bike from C & A superbikes in Kings Lynn. Its a long way from me but i got a cracking deal.

I will probably take the T back to the supplying dealer for the first service, then take advice for subsequent services.

Yes, its a black dream (apparantly).

i must say that i'm really, really looking forward to the Tuono big twin experience. The Fazer is a brilliant bike, and i had a CB13 before! I'm looking most forward to the low down grunt and real world road ability. The Fazer is very quick but makes most sense at 8000 rpm plus at very silly speeds.

Nice one, exfazer. As it's a Factory make sure you're given the sprockets for 'track use'.

To do list:-
1. Optimate (especially if alarm fitted)
2. New cans and change to Map2
3. After a bit of mileage, you'll realise that the 'standard' fitted tooth/sprockets makes the gearing too long. Get the 'track use' ones fitted asap. It'll transform the bike from a beast to an angry beast on steroids. Yeeeehaaaaah!!!! :roost

4. Get to 600mls asap, then let her loose!!

an Nob, ma widgey is like a weans arm hingin oot a pram haudin a tennis ball by the way...

WAAAY too much (imaginery) information there Rico chap! :D

exfazer - welcome to the forum, you've made a good choice both in bike and forum!:thumbup

Welcome m8y we love the gold frame in this hoose we have two red lion factories in rsv and tuono

You will need at least a 15 tooth sproket on the front then a 42-44 on the back if thats not enough

I always go for shorty levers also as i find the aprilia clutch lever weird to use

Welcome exfaz, black dream you'll love it mucker. :thumbup
