Some of the mods and issues I have done/had on my Tuono Since I bought my 2013 model in March:
1 sealed Headlights modified to allow to clean inside. They dirt up really badly. The projector lenses come loose.
2 Speedo/rev counter mists up I modded this too
3 Seat on 2011, 12 and 13 are really uncomfortable I re foamed and covered mine.
4 the starter motor will need a wiring upgrade. Known fault, Not done mine yet.
5 ReCall by Aprilia for a, I think a water manifold which has been failing on some bikes. I'm in the middle of trying to organise this with my Aprilia Dealer.
6 The cam chain hydraulic tensioner empties itself when the bike is stopped and restarted with a hot engine and it rattles really badly for a while, There maybe a mod for this but it is an engine apart job.
7 The bike sometimes misfires/briefly cuts at 4000 to 5000 very briefly. I've been told there is an after market mapping software update to cure this but it means sending off your ECU and it is not cheap.
8 Difficulty selecting neutral at a standstill especially from first gear.

Kin ell.

I would be here all day if I were to list my mods since I got my V4 :lol

Will you list at least some which I have missed.... Not things like performance mods just put it right or make it work as it should mods.

Issues:

1, Gearbox meltdown. 4 gears replaced (at my expense)
2, Stator fried, rewound stator fried, new updated stator flywheel combo fitted (at my expense)
3, Reg / rec replaced as recommended by the company that rewound my first stator (at my expense)
4, New battery due to running with a fooked stator.
5, Hot start issue occasionally. Positive and negative cables replaced with heavy duty +40% capacity leads from John Walker, from battery to starter relay and on to starter. (at my expense)
6, Seat replaced with Aprilia gel seat to stop me squishing ma baws on the tank every time I brake hard.

I think that covers the issues that I have had over 2 and a half years and 19000 miles of ownership.

If I remember more I will update.

Thanks Rizla, I did cover the seat and starter wires in the original post.
I have heard about the stators burning out, Where did you get the new updated stator flywheel combo.
As for the gearbox, Your not the first to have suffered with this. I know at least one other with a Yellow bike like ours to have suffered the same. However in his case he had just bought it from a dealer second hand so they fixed it for free..

Yeh that was Ian.

His gearbox detonated [emoji15]

I got my stator / flywheel from Fowlers, along with the flywheel puller tool that you need too.

For the record, if anyone is replacing their Kokusan flywheel I have the tool and will lend it out for the cost of postage.

There was a four week wait for the parts.

And yes, pretty much had all the known issues, bur at least I know that my electrics should be bullet proof now as I have upgraded pretty much everything.

The best part.

Still love this crazy little Italian ❤️

I've just been reading your posts about the stator, ie the upgrade Stator and Flywheel Assy - part number 2D000049, from last August.
stator or battery ??... - Page 7
You where put through the mill a bit with the original stator rewound only lasting a further 4 weeks..
Have you still got thoughs pictures of it to put on here.

The original fried stator

The same stator rewound by Westcountry Windings

They did a great job and in my view are in no way at fault for the stator failing again.

For that I blame Aprilia.

And 30 days later, this was the rewound stator:
