Can anyone tell me how to tell if my solenoid has been uprated or not, don't really want to spend £30 on something i don't need. the one i have at the mo just says 12v Made in Japan, how can i tell the amps? thanks to anyone who can let me know.:confused

Pretty sure yours has been uprated then as my original OEM one has 50A 12v stamped on it & my new is the same as yours, just 12v made in japan

Ok, cool! I'll just change the battery for now then and see how that goes, cheers.

My solenoid just said 12v made in japan but changed it anyway for a yamaha jobby as I was getting a huge pause when hitting the starter button....

:biggrin I calls em pinky & perky. :devious

Yeah I recon these Wemto solenoids we are all fitting although being 150A are not as well made as the genuine Yam ones as mine seems to be getting a bit "tired " after a couple of years use as well. Which genuine yam one did you use

Got mine off a bike breaker it was off a yammy cygnus 125 scoot on fleabay and was pretty new managed to bag it for about £8 posted...........I also know the xtz750 yam solenoid fits but best thing is to get the part no. from that then cross reference it as loads of other yam bikes use this solenoid too!!
