:pirateHi all, ordered my solenoid and battery for delivery on Monday. Does the sollenoid fit straight onto the old connectors or are there any changes to be made. I don't even know what the old one looks like but are going to find out soon though... cheers:nana

Im pretty sure its a straight swap mate, they are only spade connectors presented in a simple plug anyway so you should find it pretty straightforward!

Really simple...straight swop; 2 x bolts and washers to take off and then re-attach to new solenoid , best done before connecting to the battery unless you like showering your bike in sparks!!

thanks mate, sounds pretty simple. looking forward to some trouble free starting, and will do the headlight/dim conversion afterwards. i did not want do do the change before battery is sorted. this zone always rocks...

Its a complete doddle just unplug old one plug in new one....unless the bloke who fitted your alarm spliced the cable to enable the alarm to stop the bike starting if still armed. That was the case with mine but even then its just a bit of a soldering job. Pretty straightforward really.

Disconnect the leads from the battery, fit the new solenoid (it's just behind the battery, btw), then reconnect the battery. Piece of.

Don't forget to reset your speedo to mph/kph, and the shift light, it's all in the manual (or in the file vault here, if you don't have a manual).
