Soft front suspension

Only had my RSVR (2006) for a couple of weeks now and I am finding that the front suspension is quite soft when braking. I am a big guy (18 stone) and the rear feels fine, I would just like to stop the front dipping down too much when I come to a steady stop. How straight forward is this to do?

Pretty easy set your Static sag height first & this should tell you whether you need to go to a 1kg front spring stock is 9 or 9.5 I believe .. Once you have the spring rate sorted { Eg Rider height } this will help hold the fork up in its stroke better when braking hard then you can fine tune the feed back with your rebound & copmpression adjuster's ..
