A mate said something about snipping a wire jumper on the ECU to derestrict an RSV, but couldn't tell me more. I'm sure there must be a thread about it here, but I can't find one. Can you point me in the right direction?

think its a blue wire on the ecu there is a thread have you tried the search function never seems to work for me though

blue with green stripe on the bottom row left corner of the smaller plug

Is this the wire that opens up "map 2" is it really as simple as snip and go?

Also does it always work as well as i've heard, I'm not gonna cut it and find that it was better the way it was before?

So I hear, to be honest after 9 months of mille ownership I still don't know if mines been done, one of them things I meant to do but forgot about. was only just reminded by this thread.

Would there be any point in putting a switch on to the wire so you had the choice,:dunno
or should I just pull the wire out and stop asking stupid questions:biggrin

the lone ranger has it dude!

that'll sort it for ya!!

dont forget to rebalance the throttle bodies and set the CO after to smooth everything out !

Thanks fusebox, I'll check first to see if mine's been done. If it hasn't then I'll definitely need to pay a pro to balance the throttle bodies, etc cos I wouldn't have a clue how to do that.

Am I the only one who thought this post was going to be about some hero that had a vasectomy in the morning then did a trackday in the afternoon?
