hi guys, I have noticed that on a few occasions when stopped at junctions etc. my clutch on my 2002 RSVR becomes sticky. On one occasion I let out the clutch when sitting at lights in first gear and I had no drive !!!!!!!!!!
My tempreture was reading 96 degrees, and I had been sitting with the clutch held in as I couldn't find neutral.
Anybody else had this problem, and do you think that the clutch plates are overheating when sitting at lights.

again thanks in advance.

If you can see your going to be stuck at the junction for a while, why not try just going into first gear and then snicking it up into neutral at slow speed :dunno
Like Sharky, never had that problem with the RSV.

It's more likely to be that the bike wasn't actually in first gear correctly than the clutch slipping to the point that there is no drive at all. My guess would be a clutch bleed with new fluid and all would be well again :thumbup

On your 2002 model, you can change the clutch oil jet to a 40 from the standard 70 size. This helps in selecting neutral by causing less drag on the clutch :thumbup

I'm with Legs on this. First, start off with a good bleed! (no comments guys) then, if the year is as per Legs' post change the oil jet.

i run a barnett clutch (2nd gen) and did the oil jet recentlly and its been amazing no drag and neutral when i want it .i would go with the bleed from the how to section and the oil jet change.
