Hi All

Has anyone had their seat re covered. I have a 14 plate, and while the seat is comfortable enough it is very slippy. I'm fitting some stomp grip but would also like the seat re covered in a more grippy material.

Cheers

Stu

yeah i recoverd my seat with some nice antislip faked leather from my local habbadashery, cost me £8 as i had a staplegun

easy to do!

want a pic?

The luimoto seat covers look nice but are pretty expensive. The rsv4 seat is meant to be a lot better if can find a used one on. I managed to get lucky and find a used gel seat which is great so I can defo reccomend that.

Stomp grips solve the sliding about. I have them on mine.

Just ordered a new seat from the 1100, much more comfortable and not as slippy. £60 + vat ish.

my 12' model seat can get super slippy...depends what i wash the bike with....any detergent with polish built in turns the seat to a skating rink....i just use basic washing up liquid on the seat now.
Stomp tank grips etc do really work, especially at moderate speeds when wearing textiles....i had clear ones for 2+years and removed them once they got dirty...miss them a lot but on the yellow bike i'll get black ones next.
