Hey all,

About a week ago, my rsvr clutch went, and ive now bled the clutch through, still to no avail.

Im pretty sure it's the slave cylinder so need to purchase a new one, but here's the question:

Has anyone else had this problem? What after market replacement did you get?

I've seen them on E-bay for about £90 but dont know if these are any good.

Any help appreciated

Common problem. You can replace the seals but they are not cheap.

Get an Oberon. Makes clutch a lot easier to use especially around town - easy to fit - UK made - lifetime warranty - top quality kit.

Speak to Tash on here. He'll do you a good deal.

Rob :)

Thanks rob. Didnt even see them till you mentioned them, seems like just the thing!

In the UK there are only really the MPL and Oberon ones available. I don't think there is a distributor for the Evoluzione ones over here. Both are about the same price. I've never heard of any issues with the Oberon but there are a few posts about seal failure issues with the MPL.

PM Tash for a price on them.

Rob :)

the mpl ones are based in like germany or something, have one fitted to my bike atm.. and makes a world of difference in comparison to the standard

Got mine for about £55 delivered, just depends how many people bid on them, guess i was lucky hardly any bids on the one i got a while ago, does make clutch lighter and easier, but not night and day sort of difference, no probs with mine, done over 7000 miles with it so far, although i do like using me quickshifter:devious. mine made a big big difference in comparison to stock for me.. although it might be because i have the worlds smallest hands and not that much grip strength that it made such a big impact.. went from struggling with the clutch and getting constant hand and wrist cramp, to complete and utter comfort and ease lol

Yeah i think you were very lucky, there must have been an aprilia meet on that day where there was no internet lol

I presume you bled the master cylinder at the lever...that was my problem. Even so, I still fitted an Oberon slave as the original one isn't very smooth, and is also quite heavy. :)

I bought an MPl after the seals on my OE one took a dump.
IIRC about a 85 squids.
Great mod, the clutch action seems lighter and a little smoother too...athough I didn't measure the lever pull before I fitted the MPL....so theoretically, it could just be the voodoo effect and all be in my head.. :)
