Long time no speak people...well a skoda destroyed my beloved rsv (Bella) ....well, caused a lot of cosmetic damage, so my dilemma was to repair to standard or go full custom...and being a paint sprayer etc I've decided to custom her, so I think it's gonna be a rsv4 type of mix. Couple of questions...does the gen2 tank fit at all close on gen 1? Does any of the gen2 fairing fit a gen 1?Does a rsv4 rear subframe fit anywhere close on a rsv gen 1?
That's all for now.....I feel this is going to spiral beyond my initial financial budget ha ha.

No no no and no ha ha

If you look on af1 there are a few people that have fitted gen2 and even rsv4 fairings to gen1's

The subframe needs some mods I believe to one set of mounting points to be able to bolt up or I'm thinking of gen2 on gen1 I can't remember

Yeah I've seen a few over there, well one. I'll do a,thread when I get the rsv4 fairing etc. Yeah, skoda driver, national speed limit, long gentle bend and he was doing 5mph texting, I came around corner at 60mph no where to go so over handlebars hit my back against car bike sandwiched me and landed on me...on the bright side it was fairing and a clip on damaged so not to bad, ankle and knee took a while to heal.

Right, couple of decisions have been made, definitely rsv4 front fairing and gen 2 rear fairing. I'm not 100% convinced this new style of side fairing being very minimalist is an adequate look for the older mille, so I will assess it when I get them delivered. I think I'm going to extend the rsv4 sides to blend better on the mille...anyway, I'll update as we go along for anyone who's interested.

Yeah I read that thread. When you look at it it just seems those sides need to be longer, further back and it'll tie in nicely. Anyway, I'm committed now ha ha...
