Alright all,

Some of you may know i ordered and received my .40 jet yesterday and started the fitting.

I had some great advice on removing the existing jet (B&Q prongs, fuse wire etc..... I tried each with no success and so came up with this which worked first time and was a DODDLE!!!!!

A WOODEN COCKTAIL/TOOTHPICK!!!!! Simple as pushing it into the existing jet's hole, the wood then takes grip and VOILA out first time!!

Hope this helps someone...................:thumbup

He he......

Ordered it from RSVR.NET buddy...........:thumbup

Have you got the pic of the actual bolt where she is hiding under?

Search for this thread "Fitting jet .40??" started by myself, loads of info!!Sorry don't know how to link it!!

Hi Sprocker - all I can make out on the packet mine came in is 875, either last 3 numbers or last 3 plus one. The other numbers are illegible. Hope that helps. Looks like you've got the right number.

Just changed mine today...the toothpick/cocktail stick worked a treat :thumbup

Bought mine from rsvr.net ( 0.40 jet and the brake pump protector at the same time) delivered the following morning, i'm impressed with the speedy service :thumbup

How do you tell what size jet is fitted to the bike, i.e, does it have a number stamped on it?

My bike was slightly modded when i bought her, so before i go ordering another bit, i want to make sure it hasn't been done already.

Beanie

These jets are only about the size of a pea. There were no markings of any kind on either the old or the new jet when i did mine. It doesn't cost much or take long...I should just change it anyway.

do you have to bleed the clutch to fit this new part .sorry if this is a dumb question i aint no expert ;-)

if so i the bleeding process difficult to do ??? my clutch drags and the neutral is difficult to get ... will this cure it ????
