Hi,

Sorry ifthis has been asked but I know the fireblade stnd is a straight swap but my question is I have an 07 T so would an 08/09/10 blade stands fit? Or an older one?

Cheers

It's the 07 you want or Gsxr's from 03-08 I think, not 100% sure or an American stand is even better.
I and a few others have the Bubsydoodoos on and their good.

Is it this guy - bubsywoo' [gary 07739156762?

How much did it cost you?

Thats him, mine was free off a mate but I think their about 40 quid. Good reports and bad reports about them but mines been dandy as has everyone else's on here. If I was getting another I think I'd look for an American one.

Suzuki-GSXR-1000-K3-Side-Stand-2003 - Don't know
Honda-CBR-900-fireblade-RRY-RR2-side-stand-switch-2002 - No
HONDA-CBR-1000RR-FIREBLADE-2008-2009 - No

You want one of the following from a fireblade:
CBR1000RR/R-5 2005 1000 Fireblade/R Street
CBR1000RR/R-7 2007 1000 Fireblade/R Street
CBR1000RR1-5 2005 1000 Fireblade REPSOL Edition Street
CBR1000RR-4 2004 1000 Fireblade Street
CBR1000RR-5 2005 1000 Fireblade Street
CBR1000RR-6 2006 1000 Fireblade Street
CBR1000RR-7 2007 1000 Fireblade Street

They're not so common as everyone with a T/RSV wants one

Blimey - mine must have been a bargain (second hand) at £15 inc p&p!

Bubseywoo stand here. No complaints at all, works a treat and I can leave the bike on the stand now without worrying about it. In the garage it lives on the Abba stand.

Is that not the same as the standard one? which Suzuki/model stand?

No, it's the American pattern stand. They are longer and do the job spot on. I could never find one when I wanted them so we have the Bubsewoo ones now. You can buy the US ones new in the UK, but they cost about £140 here.

It's not available to the UK.

When my bike got blown over I started looking for a US spec stand (THE DEFINITIVE & CORRECT SOLOUTION imho)...there were always a few on US fleabay...they are as common as **** over there...remember EVERY US spec RSVR or Tuono has the stand you want. You've just got to keep looking...they ARE about...deffo.
Also...leave a few posts in the WTB section on AF1, BARF, do a search looking for US Aprilia owners groups.. etc...
You just need to look stateside to get one.
Mine cost about £60 delivered....and by the time I'd sold my old UK spec one on ebay...I think the net cost was about £25-£30...

Everything Tifa says is true, but.

(there is always a but)

The US stand is available in the UK it's part No. AP8146732 - Available online here you can order them via your dealer. But beware it comes complete and is currently listed at £157

Shipping a used US stand to the UK for £60, or buying a brand new 04-06(07?) Fireblade stand for £65 (David Silver spares?) or your local dealer is pretty much the same deal. When I rang around breakers they wanted £30 plus delivery, plus VAT for the 'Blade stand used, not such a bargain.

The Bubsewoo ones are about £50 now delivered, so they are getting close to the cost of the others, any of them can be sold on afterwards to reduce the actual cost.

I bought a canadian one S/H, cost around £40 inc delivery (c/w spring, bracket, bolts, switch and half the wiring loom !)... havnt fit it yet but it looks a substantial improvement over the UK one.
Only "issue" i have is it will foul an abba stand (which i knew before i purchased). Spoke to a techy @ abba, agreed to forward him some measurements...and they will advise if they can provide an alternative fitting kit. Hopefully get round to that at the weekend so fingers crossed !

U.S version for me.Bought it from a breaker on U.S Ebay for £54 inc post. When looking for one, make sure you get the bracket as well as its a differant angle to the Euro one.
As above, its a huge improvement and a lot more meaty than std.The only p.i.t.a I can see is the issue with the abba stand.:bawling

Does this look as though it's leaning ok or on a standard stand?

From what I've read before, changing the stand doesn't necessarily change the angle, it just kicks out more hence more stable.
