Side stands for 04 onwards

Right guys, as theres been alot of worry about side stands lately i'm willing to try and arrange this

IF there are a few of you who want a modded GSXR stand it will be easier for me to do a batch of them rather than 1 at a time (and they do take a bit of time to get right)

So

1, I can set a price that includes looking for side stands on ebay and post and package, then pay the welder IF required to alter the length

or

2, Send me a GSXR stand and i will wait till i get ALL the stands before starting work on them

I'm NOT after making a profit on these as i know how much your bikes are worth to you all and like me hate the thought of it falling over

So if you dont mind waiting a few weeks for a SOLID stand that wont FAIL on your lovely Aprilia :inlove

GSXR stands are selling for about £25 on ebay by the way, give or take a few £££s, then postage to you and i fee for the welder (welding all the stands at once will be cheaper) so will have to get a price all in

I have one of Matt's Modified GSXR stands and is very impressive. They are rock solid and the cast head looks perfect.

I have sent mine off to the powder coaters to get it finished in nice satin black, then I will post some pictures up on the forum when I get mine fitted.

Go for it you won't regret it.
 
Ok guys, this will be a one time offer cos it does take a while to do

will give it a day or 2 to get some peeps interested and then will go from there, looking at around 5 or 6 to do really as it will take some time as i said

just a reminder, this is for the 04 onwards bikes
 
Matt M8, Count me in as a deffo. Waiting is not a problem. Do we source the stands ourselves and if so which model of GSXR are we looking at.

I am also interested, do you think it would help if you knew who was getting their own and who was going to let you get them?? I am sure you have this covered, just wanted to make sure we weren't bidding against each other for the stands on ebay.
If you let me know the model and year of stands we need I do not mind buying them as I work on the computer most of the day.

That would be the best idea i think mate or i will take a payment off everyone and get the stands myself (bit quicker maybe), we dont want to bid against each other if you lot decide to have them but i had a chat with the welder today and this is the result

1, I can mod the GSXR stands and get welded if needed but you would need the Gsxr springs

or
2, Can use a zx9r stand with Aprilia U bracket welded on top like my current stand,(looks GOOD) would need your OE aprilia stand though and you can use the aprilia stand springs

or

3, we can make up stands from scratch using my template, THESE WOULD BE SOLID LIKE PROPPER STANDS

The advantage with making new stands is it would be a bit quicker, no ebay getting used stands and you can use the aprilia springs

SO guys i dont mind what i do TBH, I just need to know what you lot are happy with

If we can get a list by tomorrow Monday 25th, we can get the ball rolling :thumbup

This is a one time offer really so after today the list will be closed, if we go down the "make a new stand" route, then i will get a few more made up and offer them on this site
 
Sidestand issues

Good to see someone else taking on the mantle of these dreaded sidestand issues.

I have decided to call it a day & will not be producing any new stands as the consequences for me have been too stressfull !

I'm looking to produce some new shorty levers which are just as good as the pazzo & crg counterparts but cheaper. The materials used will be quality CNC alloys..I'm waiting for a price to produce so I'll let you all know.

For those that wanted a replacement stand ie DANF1 I will have a few stands produced & send as promised the newer stand with the one piece saddle that sits at the top of the stand.

This will not be an ongoing adventure, i will mod a few gsxr stands or get a few SOLID stands made up and then thats it

Will keep those interested informed, seeing the welder dude again in a few days to chat about the options

I am bothered that was me just being light hearted...think I'm allowed a little respite after all the **** I've endured VERY PUBLICLY these last few days .

I'll look after anyone that contacts me...just like I promised.

you promised me a new improved stand over 10 months ago and after the first few emails asking if you had sent it, you never got back to me.......so perhaps you might understand why i got pissed off, £45 for something i couldnt use and then ignored emails

Its not personal but i'm sure you would be pissed off as well in the same situation
