Side stand

Hi all,
I have an 06 rsvr factory and as you guys will all know the side stand is very poor. I have heard of a fireblade stand modification that is apparently loads better. Can anyone shed more light on what parts are needed and how it's done please?

Hi Mark. The leg from an 04-07 Blade fits into the Aprilia bracket. The Ape sensor switch also fits the Blade leg. Cost is about £50 - worth it, IMO! The only mod needed is to stop the leg touching the exhaust when retracted - apologies for crappy pic of spot weld on the heel of the Blade leg.

Third pic shows the difference the Blade leg makes. Second pic shows the leg with the mod - without the mod, it'd be resting on the zorst.
