side stand upgrade

I have just read in Ride Mag this month that the RSVR/Tuono (06 onwards) can take a side satdn from a fireblade or firestorm.. anyone had any experience with this. There are plenty of second hand sidestands on ebay, but interested to know if there is a specific year fireblade i should be looking out for.

any direction would be helpful

Just get a US spec side stand mate, straight swap no messing, better lean angle and much stronger, look on ebay for rsv kickstand make sure you get the whole lot though, stand, bracket and springs, yer mines got two springs to it one small one inside a larger one, it's a good mod and using Aprilia stuff and not some other make.

04-07 Fireblade leg slots straight into the Aprilia bracket - small mod needed (blob of weld) to stop it contacting the zorst when retracted, but that's it. Downside - it costs £65ish (new) - but cheaper than yer Mille falling over.
