Side stand switch

Is the side stand switch a known weak point on the new shap bikes?

Was happy riding along today went to change up from first to second and the bike cut out on me. Totally dead nothing.

Stopped pulled over and started the bike and all was well.

I have a good voltage 13.8 at the dash with the engine idle.

More ******* problems.

hiya the side stand switch is a known / common problem the get full of crap and dont work - best to take it off give it a wipe and spray contact cleaner inside as best you can - should sort the prob out

Have you been messing around with the switch :dunno, I read you were looking at the bubsey stand problem maybe you loosened something :dunno

No I fitted a bubseywoo stand, but then got one of the GSXR modded stands off matt on the forum. He is either a welder of knows a mate who knows a bit about adding metal to metal!

I.ve worked along side welders for 20 years and have done welding myself, i know when i see a good bit of welding :eatcorn :biggrin
