Needs to look into this as the TT is looming and the fecking bike nearly fell over to the left with all the weight on it ffs

My mate has a Tuono and he reckon we can just get a fixing plate that lengthens the original sidestand that goes inbetween the frame and the stand.

Anyone looked at this option?

get an american spec one , it`s loads better :thumbup

cool
whats the size between the 2 fixing bolts on the stand stand plate as i cant tell with out taking the belly pan off

with the american one you change the stand inc mount / bracket as one ,the only thing you have to be aware of is check whether you have a 2 hole bracket or three hole where it bolts to the frame , it seems to vary depending on year of bike as i`m aware up to 03 don`t know if after 03 are any diferent :dunno

hope this helps

Cheers Mutts thats a great help

I neeed to get this sorted out pretty quick.

Considered busbey woo but his customer services is ***** apparently. and i need it for the TT.

Well as i said, i paid £45 for one of the first stands, then he posted take care cos one stand failed and the bike fell over, i emailed him my concern and he said he was working on a NEW IMPROVED stand and he would send it to me no charge......"GREAT i thought, what a good customer service" weeks went past....NOTHING....loads of emails....NOTHING........been well over 9 months and i just give up :jack

So as i said before i got a £45 bit of scrap metal in my garage good for FOOK ALL :rant

Its a shame really cos the stand is spot on, shame the customer service is utter CRAP

It's only a thought, have you tried to get a metal shop to make you a plate about 10-15mm thick out of a small square of ally about 3"x2" with the centre milled out to crate a "shallow hole" in the middle.......you then put it under the stand when you park it.....a bit like those red placstic MCN "soft ground spreader" ones but thicker.

I use a piece of MDF that is 15mm thick to keep my bike more upright, but I am going to get one made out of billet alloy in a week, so I'll post up the piccies.

Just keep it in the tail unit when not in use, I reckon they will cost about £5.00 to make and will be just as good as any stand replacement.......and if I glue some rubber to the bottom it won't slip either.

(You could lose it or get it nicked I suppose..........)

Thanks for the replies Lads

My M8 is an engineer and he has come up with this.

He has made it out of alloy and it pushes the sidestand out 25mm and he put a shallow cut on it to reduce angle slightly.

Hes gonna send me one to try.

Tim

Ask him to clean his bike while he is at it.........:dunno

Seriously, that looks even cheaper than my idea..........let us know how it goes dude.

Hes gonna send me it tommrow with longer bolts so ill take some piccies before and after

So is the general advice to stay well clear of this guy then :confused

His fleabay ad looks quite good/convincing but I don't wanna end up coming back to my 'bike just to see her sitting on her side due a crappy quality replacement :roll

Any ideas on where to source an American sec one btw :dunno

I've got one and it's the best thing I ever bought for my Mille. He takes a while to answer emails but he usually gets there in the end.

Cheers for the feedback fella :thumbup

Now all I need to do is find his fleabay ad again.. not had any luck so far this morning :dunno

I have got one to and it is very inmpressive. I have Bubseywoo's mobile number if you want to give him a ring. (PM for it)

My stand is fine and quality is A1.

It did take a few calls and almost a week to get it from ebay though.

Guy's I had a Bubseywoo stand, but had it re-welded/strengthened and sprayed up before fitting it and its still going strong.

So thats the advise I would give....it is a good design, just needs a little work before you fit one!
