Cheers for the advice lads, I dont know what the previous owner was trying to achieve by putting them in, thinking logically, those tubes are solid so noise would only be absorbed into the can up to the halfway point where it would meet the tube, it would then make its way out of the can via the tube?
bit like attaching a long tube to a stubby can?????
