Should I buy a Rally?

have been keen on these bikes for years
they get great reviews and the gadgetry sounds fantastic

not far from me there's a 2017 with 2,000 km on it for an attractive price

having done some reading though, seems they are troublesome?
fueling issues, oil consumption, electrical/electronic bugs

having only owned Japanese bikes I'm used to good reliability
I'm somewhat concerned that the owner may be flogging a lemon
but of course he's not going to tell me that

any advice on what to look for when I go for an inspection?
if I get the VIN, is it likely that a dealer could pull the history?

thanks in advance

Hi, i have only recently bought a Capo 1200 ( not rally ) the dealer had to fit a fuel sender unit ( a known fault, BMW and ducati use the same one i was told ) i come from Benellis so i have always taken a risk as they can be troublesome, up till now i love mine, good power, comfortable, a bit warm from the exhaust and time will tell, so afraid not much help to you as everyone to their own. cheers

so it's mine
love the bike

hello...hello...hello

quite an echo in this chamber

Hi, how are you getting on with the capo, starting to get use to mine now and so far so good.

hey....didn't get a lot of miles on it this past summer - work
November to March is a no go for riding in Canada

have been reading about the cam bearing failures and noise
mine has a pretty noticeable noise from the front cylinder area

I've dumped the oil and it was a bit sparkly - brassy looking
sure hope it doesn't need a tear own

other than that concern I love the bike
suspension is fab
it's extremely comfortable - only bike I've bought where the stock seat is good
