As it says - should I be worried about the mileage or stump up another 2 grand for a 5000 miler..?
Any thoughts welcome..
Greg

I guess it depends how its been used, as long as its got a full service history, preferably by someone who knows what they are doing it should be fine.

Sounds like you are looking at a 2018 V4 1100 T ...
As above... what service history ?
Then consider what mileage you anticipate doing ...
If your gonna do 10k per year for the next 2 yrs ... then despite service history it ain't really gonna hold much value.
If your gonna do fook all mileage then it may carry some.
Bikes like this "cost".
Only you have an idea of how much you will use it..... only you can decide...
They seem to be a crakin bike ..

Just pick the "combination" that suits you ..

Hi Greg , Felix has good points , what mileage will you be doing . A 2018 with 20,000 miles I would think is classed as high mileage in the UK just like my own MY 17 with 33,000 miles I have owned from new . What I would look at is every 12,000 miles is a big service expensive well start again service intervals
1st 1000km= 621 m first service
2nd 1000 +10000 km should be 6834 m but spanner service light comes on about 6300 m
3rd 1000 +10000 + 10000 km 13047 m this is the big one that has the valve check and adjustment / shimming if required and most probably will need doing in the UK cost for checking is about £ 550 to £ 800 add on adjustment total could be £ 800 to £ 1200 , but you can do it yourself I believe it takes about 10 hours the first time you have a go yourself and a few specialist tools.
And if the bike has been tracked or track bike they say half the mileage for the valve service.
So I would say how many miles are you going to do over the time you would own the bike , check the service history if it is from an Aprilia dealer they can look that up and get the service coupons .
So 5000 m track miles or 20,000 normal ridding who knows look into any history , I have 33,000 UK road miles only pleasure ridding no commuting with 167 gentle track miles and it's so F--king fantastic I love the bike and I am addicted to the bloody thing .

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I've seen a couple at sub 10k miles that might do me - I'm a competent spanner spinner so doing the valve service won't be an issue for me especially as I'd probably make this a long-termer so having a couple of 'home service' entries in the log won't worry me as I probably wouldn't be selling it for a good few years ...
So now all I need to do is sell my APRC...!
Thanks again..
Greg

Go onto AF1racing.com and search Aprilia service manual you can buy a download service manual for 8 dollars it's worth it just for the torque settings alone
