Well, I was having a quiet hour to myself and lubing some bolts from the fairings (yes I was bored). No one told me the bolts were made of talc, :banghead:banghead:banghead

The rear RHS one sheared with no pressure Fooookin Ell. had to drill it out to remove it and re-tap it.

The silver lining is that now I can change them all for titanium gold ones. :thumbup

:thatsgay

Rim tape too? :dunno

Perhaps sir would like some anodised purple bar ends with matching tax disc holder to complete the look?:crazy

Nope.... titanium it is.....:cool. Anything is better than the cheese fasteners that are in there. I've realised my T has had services where necessary, but that's its lot. The more I check it over the more I find things that have been overlooked or neglected. I wanted a project and that's what I've got. So I'm happy. I have a list of parts that need replacing. nothing major. Its basically sound. I'm going to enjoy what I'm doing. Might even get chance to ride it, if it stops raining long enough.

No rim tape. ever.

Glad to hear yer no a rimmer,,,,,,,, while yer at it check oot the dog bone bearings.

They're not up to the job and need an eye kept on them as well as a bit of grease regularly. :thumbup

Quick question. Do the forks come out of the mountings at the bottom calliper/axle carriers ?
