Took the baffles out of my arrow cans and found them too loud for early morning blasts, also found a strange resonance at mid revs.
i went to the guys at quill exhausts who for £30 made some short baffles for me.
Sounds excellent now.

Easily, but then they couldnt go back in at MOT time, also when it comes time to move on then the standard cans will go back on and the unmolested Arrows sold.

just 1 question chaps.
how many of you have had yer bike fail a mot fer noise levels?

i,ve had baffles for my blue flame, but never ever fitted them , even fer mot.

i got a fail once fer not havin a rear reflector, trip to the local car parts shop, stuck it on .... passed...... toook it off. bobs yer fanny.

Same here.
I've never fitted baffles for the MOT.As long as the can is'nt stamped "not for road use" or "race use only",you should be ok.Took my 999S down for its first MOT,..the tester said,"Bit loud is'nt it?Mind you,it does sound good.":thumbup

When I went to book my RSVR in last year I asked "do I have to put the baffle in and the big reg plate back on?"

The answer was "No, but if you get pulled for them don't go saying "It passed the M.O.T. like this officer" as a way of trying to get out of it!"

Fair enough I reckon.

all depends on the MOT dude doesn,t it, particularly the wans that are mainly car MOT stations wi bikes somethin they dae as an aside, they can be less than "flexible"
