Does anyone know the correct servicing intervals??? thanks in advance:thumbup

The correct service intervals for the rsv 4 are:
1st service at = 625miles (1000km)
then every 6000miles or year.

Service Intervals

your service intervals on a RSV4 exactly the same as a RSVR twin. I had a '58 plate twin before the RSV4 and would not go back. Had 5 hrs on the RSV4 today and the only way I could describe the experience to the misses was you don't even need to hold the bars just think about where you want to go and the bike will do it for you. The RSV4 is one of the best balanced, best performing superbikes that you can buy. 30mph in 4th round town no probs crack the throttle 150+ her we come. Only had the bike a week and nothing touches her and yes for the doubting few I have riden new blades, R1's and Gixer 1000's along with my mates Ducati 996 WSB spec bike and that cost a fortune.

Well said! Anyone had the words SERVICE and a red triangle appear on the dash?? Or am I the only one :(

Service Lights

Locksley, I take it your bike is not due for service yet but you have got the service light on, do you have an alarm fitted to the bike and if so is it a datatool by any chance?
I have a Datatool S4 red and if I forget to switch the alarm off before turning the ignition on I do get the service lights coming on. If you leave the bike for 15 mins or so and then follow the correct proceedure alarm and then ignition the ecu corrects itself and the service light goes out on mine. Bit of a pain but I have heard of a few dealers having problems when fitting alarm/immobilsers to RSV4's and Datatool where not much help when I queried them.
Hope this helps.

Hi Andy,

No I don't have an alarm, I took it into my local today and he hooked it up to the computer, it came up with 2 diagnostic logs (that weren't that important) and he cleared them and I was on my way.

Cheers for your advice though (did have photo of the read out but have no idea how to upload em on here) .

Chris

If you get a photobucket account upload your pics on that.
Under each pic there is an img heading, copy this and paste it into message box and bobs yer uncle......i think?
