Hey Guys

just had my 2007 RSV-R Bol'Dor service (by a non aprilia dealer) but the word "service" is still on the display. Should this be of concern or do I just press a key combo to remove? I have full confidence in the garage and don't think they would of intentionaly missed anything.

Also, i never got the "manual" and so dont understand/know the following:

1 - "AVS Max" is 134mph .... what is this? Does this means its electronical limited? If so, how do i remove this?

2 - BST/GMT ... doh! My clock is stuck on the wrong timezone, any clues how to change this please?

If anyone could send me a link to a manual i'd really appreciate it :thumbup

Very many thanks guys!!!!

thats excellent mate, thanks very much!

What is the AVS stuff for though?

Not limited, it just means that's the max speed that's been achieved on your bike, that's still in the memory - get it dynoed and see what the figure says for max speed (or pick a motorway/autobahn/trackday) :p

You can reset it to zero. There are a lot of functions on the dash which you can use for racing e.g. max speed, average speed and a lap timer.

oooooh thanks very much!

Best reset that occasionaly or it will help the police with there enquiries:dunno

Allegedly, although if a copper can navigate his way to your average speed through your dash, he either used to work for Aprilia, or he's on here! :lol

They cant use that against you bro, the max speed is not dated so it could have been recorded at any time by any owner on private land.:thumbup

After my speedo sensor went awol, my max recorded speed is now 180mph... Never been above 60:devious

yeah had that as well on my R6 (water in the connectors)... i was doing 154 at traffic lights :biggrin

Mate of mine took his brand 2No in to a local dealer (WSRN) for its 500-mile service after he'd been very carefully running it in. When it came back, he was not amused to find that the AVS read 125mph thanks to some techie 'roadtesting' it.

That's terrible!!!

Only 125MPH recorded, they must have let the apprentice road test his bike then. LOL

Hope they didn't let the apprentice do the service.
