hey folks does anyone know how to reset the service light on an 06 't'
and also what the letters 'st' mean above it,
also always asks for the code, what exactly is the code for, ????
and map 1 and 2, short of going to the dealer is there any way of telling what its running on,
bikes running with bewoulf pipes and runs fine but not to sure what difference the maps would make,
by the way these pipes are the nuts if anyones pondering over them, as long as you dont have a good relationship with your neighbours ,,,, seeeeeeeriously loud lol

Think you`ld have to get your bike hooked up to the machine at your dealers to make sure?
Don`t want to panic you but was told by dealer the bike runs too lean if you change the pipes and don`t change your mapping and could seriously fook your engine up if your tearing around the place on map 1??

When i put the mivvs on mine i cruised nice and easy the 20 mls down the road to the dealers to get the map 2 done.
Probably not much help to you but i think i`ld get it checked out for peace of mind.

Good Questions

As for the previous poster, I think they are correct. The only way to be sure of your map is to have the dealer plug the bike into a computer and check.
The "ST" on your display is not explained in the manual adequately. I have no idea what it is and doesn't appear to affect any function on the bike. People on other forums have also asked and no answer is really given. Oh well, an aprilia mystery.
The user code that is prompted is essentially a combination that you enter that will allow the bike to start. Extra protection against theft, but no one that I know has ever inputted a combination. We just ignore it.
You asked about the service light indicator. Please ensure that you are completing the services recommended, but it is common for the dealer to neglect a reset of the odometer service interval.
The code should be 13432.
This, when entered, will allow access to the diagnostics menu and you can reset the service light.

How do you input the code 13432?? As a Ducati dealer serviced mine before i bought it and never got it re-set?

aw rite mate, to reset it, your trip button, put it to mode, then the reset button on the back side, the one for retripping you mileage etc,,, push it in and hold it for around 10 secs, itll then give a list of options on the dash, just briefly push the reset button and itll scroll down, once you reach the service reset, hold the button on for about 10 secs again to activate it to that mode, then just repeat the brief pushfor the code, once every number goes in, push and hold the button again to forward to the next,,,, bit like a digital watch type setting, hope this makes sense

Are the 'S' and 'T' icons from the 'fly by wire' bikes (Shiver, Dorsoduro etc) that have the option to switch maps between Sport, Tour and Normal?

Just an idea... probably wrong.

Me to it works fine..

Can anyone tell me of a safe setting for the RPM before the red warning light comes on as its set at 6000 .(As I was looking at a few things while doing this job on the service)
I no this is factory set but surley it can be set to more then this.

Any safe advice please!
