Service cost - didn`t sound too bad ?

Okay, after collecting my 60 plate Tuono last week, I was then told by the dealer that it was due its first service, and it was duly booked in.

Went to collect it today, and it had had new oil (as usual), but also the valve clearances had been done, which they said it needed on the first service. I can`t check because they didn`t give me the service book (they`ve lost it, new one on order !), but I`ve no reason to doubt that they`ve done the clearances, as they were written down on the rear of the job sheet.......and they asked me to leave the bike with them yesterday, so they could do it from cold this morning, which is par for the course ?

Anyway, on collecting the bike, the gadgie behind the service desk says "that`ll be £146 please sir" which I didn`t think was bad, seeing that they`d done the valve clearances ?
I did, of course, then have great delight in telling him that it was costing me nowt, as the salesman I bought it from said it should`ve been done prior to collection last week.

Result ! :thumbup

So, is this cheap, or what, or should I be expecting a bigger bill next time, as this is only the first service ?

that was a bargain, but i think if u didnt have the first service free,it might have been higher,

Good deal there !! I recently enquired the price for a 12k service for my 2006 T at main dealer Skinners in Dundee and was told 375 smackers plus vat for oil ,plugs and valve clearance check,so bask in your glory mate !!!

Seem's reasonable - think my 1st service was the £200 mark what with the valve clearance stuff.

Anyone know if the 6k service is a biggie?
