Selling up, or swap, rough value?

Hey Guys,

Well, I have discovered after doing a bit of commuting in the rain, maybe the rsv is not the ideal bike for me at the moment. So, i'm looking to sell it or swap for a more suitable bike.

So my question is this, how much is it worth.

The bike is as follows:
2003 Rsv mille
Black
19500 miles
Full service history
Had a major service last week by the man himself, Griff
Has a leo-vince titanium exhaust, but will come with origional
10 Months MOT
4 months tax
Tyres are fine
New speedo sensor 2 months ago

Bad Points:

It has had a low speed low side, which resulted in scratched top fairing, slight scuff on tank, and a slight scuff on swing arm. To be honest, and i'm not just saying this, its not that noticeable. Bike is perfectly straight.

One of the front forks has some of the aluminium peeling away. Its not leaking or anything, but trying to give an honest description!

So any ideas what I should put it up for sale for? I'll get some pics at weekend once its cleaned!

Also, any recommendations on what I should go for for a commuter?

Ta,

Anton

why's it no good? You commute in the rush hour? I suppose i'm lucky that i rarely have to do that, i normally commute when it's quite mild traffic

Tuono ! ! ! ! comfy position, same engine, LOADS of fun too!!!!!

PS......if you are getting rid of it can i have your link pipe:devious:devious:devious:biggrin:biggrin

Yea rush hour and poor weather. I don't really wanna ruin
it by commuting on it over winter, but can't afford to
buy another bike without selling up so has to go. Any ideas on value?

how far is your comute mate . i have a 125 scooter for work see my garage but i only have to go 4/5 miles .and ya know what its great fun in the city traffic and really nimble .....

Bad time of year to try and sell a bike your going to be looking at £2,600 - £3,500 sorry I can't be more precise but without seeing it and it depends how quickly you want to sell it I think it will probably be the lower end though.:)

ANT what you doing man sorry to hear that mate who is going to host the annual north east griff service schedule cheers for what you done this year with service . Will arrange to pick paddock stand up next week

city traffic..i've just looked at your location..you sure?....lol

Any other valuations guys, or indeed anyone interested!

Seeing as you`re asking Anton, I`d say it would value at £2700 through a dealer, if you part-ex for something else, and maybe £3k privately, but I`d say your biggest problem would be the damage.

Good luck with sale mate, in any case........:thumbup

Yea the damage will deter some people, rides great though. Due to the damage I was going to put it on the market at £2200 ono. Think thats reasonable?

Hi Anton,

I am looking for a rsv at the moment.
I have an Kawasaki ZR7, would you be interested in a swap?
The kawasaki is a 54 plate bike with 12000 miles.
The bike hasn't been dropped and is really clean.
If your interested I can send you some pictures.
Any chance of you sending some pictures of yours?
If you want to discuss give me a call on 07779843550.
Regards,

Chris.

hi Chris,

Maybe interested, what sort of a deal were you thinking?

Thanks,

Anthony
