Anyone out thier know where the strap nails to on the rear seat pod :dunno
A picture would be good as I'm educationally delayed.

you either have a seat or a pod so no strap on the pod

Think I've sussed it. The strap fixes to the frame/fairing screws under where either the seat or pod sits ,near to the front of the opening bit either side of the seat catch. If that makes sense. I remember it on my old Tuono now. You have to slide the pillion seat through it. Wont be putting the strap on. Just wondered.
The rear seat is red and the material is crap by the way.

G'day Nobist,
Youv'e sussed it. It's a tight fit putting the seat back on though.

Sorry Nobist I wasn`t thinking hard enough about the strap. I was probably in awe looking at your bike, (jealouse?)

Nice Avatar Perry mate, I might put the seat on because I have Ventura luggage brackets fitted most of the time and the frame wont go on with the pod. The material is rubbish on the seat tho. Gonna look for a custom re-trimmer and get one done in a matching design to the pod I think. Anyone in Northwest England know of anywhere?

G'day Nobist,
I bought a "Triboseat" cover to help stop the missus sliding off the back or into me.It fits the seat ok and its cheaper than reupholstering, for the couple of times we both can get away from our kids for a ride.

Nobist, if you have a Factory 09, like headmuscle and myself, your rear seat should be black carbon effect not red as you say it is. The same look as the centre part of the main seat. My dealer gave me red at first but realised the mistake.

Cheers mate, this is why forums like this are so usefull. I'm gonna deal with it right away.

I can confirm that the rear seat is black carbon affect as just fitted mine to the rear. Going away in 2 weeks to France and Spain so fitted the seat and ventura luggage for the trip.
Hope you sort the seat out pal.

Got it sorted, dealers are turds though. They were probably gonna put it on ebay. Right sir we've got your dough now fook off.
I'm deffinately not going back their for the servicing etc.[got the first one free hoorah!] They have the best bike deals round Manc but everything else is pretty poor.

When I inquired about the Corbin rear seat which was fitted to an '07 Tuono at my dealer, I was told "You don't wan that, the Tuono isn't really meant for two-up riding anyway......"

I concur, dealers are turds.

The seat is deffo not for touring. Not with a fat git like me on anyhoo. 260 miles and after 60 I felt like Boy Georges new cell mate [oooohhh me botties sore].
But my T Ollie performed magnificently with me ,our Maud and a tonne of camping gear on board. And everyone will be pleased to know returned exellent MPG :thumbup
