Not seen much on scottoiler info on here so i thought id put some pics up.

These are fantastic if your doing loads of miles and long trips away from home.

I had one of these on my last bikes and rarely needed to adjust the chain though saying that the oil is really light and most of it dends to end up over the back wheel even if its just turned up enough to slowly oil the links, its messy stuff!

Great pics :thumbup

I had the scottoiler lying on a shelf in my shed, so i fitted it to my mille.
Temprature effects the oil flow ALOT.
They can be messy, splattered back of number plate, wheel rim, thick coating under chain guard but thats how to tell if its set too high.
I run mine at about 7 in winter and about 5 in summer.
Theyre a good bit of kit. :thumbup
Im going to get my finger out and set about that chain with some diesel and a paintbrush get it cleaned.

i used motorax chain cleaner spray last week and it seemed to get into all the links realy well . i have also always used castrol chain wax and never had a problem . i lube my chain about every 300 miles or so is this ok or is it better to lube it more than i do ???

Just what i was looking for bud...............thanks alot!!

One last thing which vacuum pipe does it fit to?????

mines fitted under the seat hump...will post some pics tomorrow as i'm off to work soon....it's a very neat install.kudos to whomever fitted it!!

This my be a silly question so appologies if it is but, when filling the reservoir can i fill it through the breather??? Obviously i'd need to ensure there was no oil left in the breather tube but it would make things dead easy that way!!???

No you cant, you have to take the rubber bit off the reservior to fill.
My scottoiler oil bottle came with a tube to put on the end so you just put the end in the filler hole and squeeze the bottle, its not tricky or messy.

Thanks bud......yeah i got the same bottle with attachment!! It's just that if i could've used the breather pipe it would save me removing the rear seat fairing to fill the fecker!!! He ho i suppose!!

PS....got it fitted today in exactly the same spot as yours but, fits perfectly.....just gonna be a pain at fill up time!!!:thumbup

I only have to take the seat hump off and remove the tank prop to fill mine.
With the bike on the sidestand it helps cos of the angle it leans.
You can see the space i have to fill and bleed mine in the 3rd pic down without taking the tail pod off.
