Anyone fitted and used the new V system on there Tuono's?? Do they work well on the T?

I have had one in the past on my R1 and Fazer and wanted to know what the main difference is over the old mk7 systems? Apart from the price which seems to have climbed another tenner!

Cheers in advance for any thoughts.

I think the V(vacuum) System is the old mk7,just a new name to distinguish it from the new E(electric) system.I have one on the Racing and it works well but I am thinking of taking it off as it makes a hell of a mess on the white wheels:thumbdown I like to ride the bike not clean it all the time and with this fitted the wheels need constant looking after

Ok cheers for that, not really worth fitting one then if thats the case.

Thanks
Mark

I fitted a Pro Oiler (electronic, goes by rear wheel rpm so doesn't oil when stopped), still makes a mess of the white wheels... but haven't had to adjust the chain in a year. A breeze to clean off anyway, much better than that awful sticky chain lube. Just spray on some degreaser (Muck Off if you are in the UK). I had a scottoiler and this is better.

I've fitted a duel scottoiler. After a few teathing problems with the placement and clearance of tubes it works well.:thumbup Less crap on rim than hand oiling, after fiddling with the flow rate.
:cheers Perry

I use an artist s paint brush to oil chain . Chainsaw oil , a dab on every link every two week or as often as you like.

I have been using castrol synthetic chain wax and I have no oil sling whatsoever I was using motul but that stuff makes a big mess if anyone has any better ideas let me know I am always looking for the latest and greatest stuff out there. Thanks Bill

also how often should I have to adjust my chain. I just adjusted it a couple of weeks ago and It seems to have more slack in it already.
