Loads of good viewing at Scarborough.Saturday is usually less busy and the best for having a good mooch around the circuit. Can get packed out on sunday so its not always easy to get a good spot.
A few of my faves,
The outside of the esses,....watch the riders catch their knees on the grass banking.
At the esses, nip over the bridge and head towards the hairpin,.....its pretty tame,tbh,....instead head towards the memorial.Squeeze through the hedge for a better view.
Its a bit of a hike but mountside hairpin is the best, imo.Fast downhill to a virtual stop,....the bikes sliding and skating about as the riders scrub of speed.
The downhill jumps are also good, but its tricky to get a good view as its very popular with photographers and they can hog the best spots.
I seem to remember the camping is usually at the top of the circuit, near the toilet block and 'bikers village'.There is also usually a bar up there that is open all day and most of the night.I think the nearest pub is out of the circuit and halfway down the hill towards town.(The Still?)Bit of a walk,....especially if yer pissed on the way back up that hill.
I usually go B&B,....loads of good, cheap accomodation in town,....and loads more pubs to choose from.
Sadly cant make it this year, but its on my wish list for 2013.
