My Plomb Grey Mille 02 spec 03 plate, is getting some TLC at the min so I decided to paint the black plastics before I put the new decals on.

The finish at the minute is more of a satin black, but under the decals its matt.

Ive started doing them satin but now thinking that it will look better matt!!!

So after all that waffle, what was the original spec? Has anyone got a really good condition silver bike that can confirm satin or matt?

I personally would go for satin... you got to think about wear and tear, matt would look really nice to start with but think about u rubbing yourself off against the tank :p or where you legs hit the tank, if its matt it will eventually end up with more gloss, also satin being smoother than matt will be easier to clean etc... up to u mate but I paint stuff every day and thats my 2 pence worth :D

The tank is staying silver mate, its the back end and front mud guard thats black as in my new cans pic.

I understand what your saying about wear and tear, Ive done them satin and theyre hardnening off now so Ill take another look tomorrow.

Mines a silver 2003. Original finish of black on tail is more satin than matt. I'd go for satin.

ah fair play mate, didnt realise you were staying with a silver tank...all ill say is whatever you go for satin or matt make sure you use a seperate lacquer, just be more hard wearing that just a straight finish....
