Sat Nav Mount

Hi,

I am having problems mounting my Garmin 2610 on the Tuono handlebars, the u-bolt supplied with the Ram mount is not wide enough to fit the bars. Does anyone have experience of any alternative mounting systems - or do I need to get a bigger u-bolt?

Also, how easy is it to get an electric feed to the unit?

Cheers
Rob

Thanks for that, but managed to get a larger u-bolt to fit today, mounted ram arm and sat nav, looks great.

How easy is it to wire to electrics?

Hi Rob, I've got the same wider mount. Where have you mounted it...any pics?

Hi Stoney,

I mounted it just to the right of the handlebar clamp as you sit on the bike, with the RAM arm angled horizintally to place the say nav unit directly over the clamp and set a vertical angle so as to be in line of sight just below the speedo line of sight.

I will post some pictures this weekend.

Cheers Rob. I have a Zumo 550, which is placed more centrally than the 2610. I'd like to see the pics though as I havent fitted my bracket yet, as I cant bring myself to clutter the tidy dash of the Tuono. I usually use my Bm for touring but I'm getting well tempted to use the Tuono....especially if fitting the Ohlins rear next week improves the handling on the bumpy stuff.

Cheers Rob, I've fitted the Zumo to mine now too, fits and works a treat. Does'nt block any clocks and is rock solid. Just need to sort the power out now.
