RSVR Vs RSV4

Probably been done before but what the hey, what's best RSVR or RSV4? I have RSVR Factory and love it to pieces, never tried RSV4 but love the looks. Is it worth going to take a test run on RSV4 or should I be happy with what I have?

Depends on how you ride dude. If your finding the limits of your RSVR then go for it. Mind you I'm no god on two wheels but no slouch either and I'm way off being better than the capabilities of my bike. Be warned if you do test ride one it will be lighter, smoother etc and you will want it lol.

Had a RSV4 APRC for the weekend while my old Factory was being serviced. When I got back on my old twin to me it felt great, far better on the road than the V4.
But everyones different, you'd have to try one for yourself, but recently I've read a few articles where the journalists have basicly said the same.

I took a test ride on the V4 recently and I have to say I think I preferred the RSVR factory. The V4 was unmodified and was very lumpy and boggy at normal road speeds. It feels like it belongs on the track and wasn't as pleasant to ride as the older V2. Considering the massive price difference I'd go for the RSVR. I prefer the looks of the older model, too

haven't treid one but was really keen to, just becaouse it was new, hot looking & a technical marvel. But it is small, extreme & couldn't see MrsR on that pillion, she can only do 45 mins on the RSV!

but I agree the front is just a bit too clumsy looking.

I think it needs a change in WSB rules to bring back the V twin then they might use the new 1200 in a sports chassis! Sounds like a winter project brewing for somebody?

The only way to fully appreciate any sports bike is on track. I have both RSVR and RSV4, race the v4, 2 completely different bike. Both equally awesome pieces of kit

+1

I've driven a RSV4 Factory too and I must admit that it's a good bike but the right rootnes is missing from it, I'd prefer my -04 Factory to be the ride.
