Maybe its because its snowing and i can`t ride the bike, but i`m seriously considering changing my o4 factory for a tuono racing. Has anyone gone the same route? regrets?

I had a great summer on the bike, but had recently found that after `sprited rideouts` i`m questioning the consiquences of getting caught ` riding spiritedly` ( is that a word? ) verses the fun factor.

A tuono is the natural choice, i`d love to just convert mine, but i`d be struggling to get the money without getting a divorce first.

Do it mate!! :doug

You'll have just as much fun (if not more) throwing that beast around! :devious

Convert it or swap it, down gear it, the front wheel is constantly reaching for the heavens,

Already down geared it. I need to test ride one to be totally sure. A swap would ideal. I'll have to keep my ear to the ground.:thumbup

I'm lucky enough to have one of each!!! I can honestly say I have as much fun on the Tuono as the Mille but for longer "spirited" blasts (ie Europe) I'd still def take the Mille, the wind blast on the Tuono is wild!!!!

Earlier? I thought there was only one true "Racing"? :dunno

yep mate you're right - yours is the only "tuono racing" model the newer shape is called the "factory" :thumbup

Deacs :thumbup

Thought as much! :biggrin

Saying that though, the Factory has "TUONO RACING" on the WHITE numberboards on the tail as the Racing has on it's YELLOW numberboards?

hhmmmmm haven't heard of the newer ones being called a "racing"?! is it clad with all carbon goodies as well?

They brought it out in 2004 but called it a Factory

Same as the Racing but had white numberboards and the blue/purple Oz's. As it wasn't the Racing, it didn't come with the extra bits to go racing but had carbon/Ohlins/Radials. :biggrin

I found the mk 1 Tuono (both standard and racing ;) ) to be pretty good re wind blast. The Mk2 model slightly less so.

All nakeds are a pain over 120 mph, for some people thats a good reason for buying one ;) Also they're good fun when you back off, in a way that sportsbikes are not.

I'd recommend the move, saw a very nice RSV conversion with flat (drag) bars, the guy had the OE front fairing reshaped to allow full lock etc etc. Also worth having multi adjustable rear sets since the naked ride possy is a lot more comfortable if your feet are that bit lower. If they are fully adjustable you can always re-adjust for track days :)

this is the original tuono racing pal.
brought out in 2002 with gold frame (not real gold), oz wheels, ohlins sussies, carbon bodywork etc etc

That's not a "Racing" mate, I think it's the limited edition (maybe 135) original streetfighter :biggrin
